Korat Thai Silk Pillow Cover, Adobe Beige, Abstract Midcentury Modern
Korat is a city of northeastern Thailand, known traditionally for its silks and the Korat cat, its eponymous breed. This decorative pillow cover, a midcentury modern print with an organic, tropical Asian spin, is 100% Thai silk. It has an earthy, warm, pale tan background, screened with a repeating, abstract print in light and dark olive, burnt orange, and pale gold. Some variation in the fabric reflects the artisanal fabrication of the silk, made using a vintage Thai process and machinery.
Origin of 100% Silk Front: Northern Thailand
Reverse side is a mustard acetate-synthetic blend assorted to the front; it picks up an undertone of the muted gold motif. Front is backed with cotton to reinforce the silk.
Size: 18 x 18 inch
Inside edges are finished on an industrial overlock machine. Invisible zipper sewn into bottom seam.
Pillow insert not included. These are standard sizes, available for purchase on Amazon and from many other sources. In some brands, it’s best to buy a pillow form 2 inches larger than the pillow cover, as going up a size fills it better in some brands.
